Increasing Rain Chances Ahead… Tuesday Forecast Update – 4:35pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Tuesday afternoon! It’s turned out to be a rather mild afternoon, with temperatures creeping into the upper 80s. Humidity levels remain rather low, but dewpoints are also on an increase. Expect humidity to make a big return later this week. Temperatures tonight will fall into the 70s after sunset, with upper 60s after midnight. Skies remain partly cloudy to mostly clear overnight.

Wednesday, highs will warm into the upper 80s. There is a small chance of a stray shower or storm during the afternoon hours, mainly south of I-20. As moisture levels really increase on Thursday, the number of scattered storms will also increase. I don’t expect an all day rain, but there will be a good number of scattered downpours across the area.

Rain chances will increase to 50% on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Look for a mix of sun and clouds, with a passing downpour being possible at any time. I don’t expect more than an hour or two of rain in any one spot, but keep the umbrella handy over the weekend.
