Dry and Pleasant Monday. Sunday Forecast Update 7:45pm. #wxal @wvua23

7 Day -SHELTON STATE Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Sunday evening! We saw partly to mostly cloudy skies today. A few in our northern most counties like Winston, Marion, Walker, Fayette, and Cullman saw some very isolated sprinkles. Most precipitation that fell never actually made it to the ground before is was evaporated. That line is now just delivering extra clouds for many. Right behind it, very dry air follows. That airmass will clear skies overnight tonight, and make for pleasant feeling lows tonight. Monday will be mostly sunny and feel amazing, despite temperatures being in the mid to upper 80’s.

Tuesday and Wednesday should remain mostly dry. The slim rain chance is just for the ever so slight opportunity for an isolated shower. Humidity will be back on the rise each day, as well as our actual temperature. Thursday and Friday, the air over the southeast will contain enough moisture to feed afternoon showers and storms each day.

The trend of afternoon storms will carry from the work week, into next weekend. By this point of the forecast, conditions will be very muggy.
