Dry Weather Finally Arrives! Saturday Forecast Update, 7:40p.m. #wxal @wvua23

7 Day -SHELTON STATE Forecast - Offset Lows - PM

Good Saturday evening! We saw much drier weather today than the past several days. The rain we did have was a single band of storms that were traveling ahead of the trough that helped push Cindy’s remnants out of the state. Behind that line is dry, less humid air…and a streak of fully dry weather. Tonight, skies turn mostly to partly cloudy the remainder of the evening. Sunday will be a mix of clouds and sun; unfortunately no fully clear skies just yet. Those will hold off until the work week.

Next work week for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday skies will be mostly sunny before clouds start to slowly increase later Wednesday. Conditions will be less humid but temperatures will be increasing gradually. Thursday and Friday start to turn humid as we see Gulf moisture move into the area. That airmass will also help feed showers and storms to develop in the afternoons.

Next weekend will unfortunately hold scattered showers and storms in the afternoons with muggy conditions. I guess we just can not fully beat the rain…

Join us live on WVUA23 weekdays at 5, 6 and 10:00 P.M. and weekends at 10PM for the very latest on your news, weather and sports.
