Drier Days Soon! Friday Forecast Update – 5:30pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Friday afternoon! At 5:30pm, the batch of heavy rain and storms is storms is slowly coming to an end from northwest to southeast. This has caused additional flooding across our area, with all creeks and rivers very high, with some rivers in flood stage. Rain amounts are incredible across our area from the past few days. Just since Wednesday, we’ve had many reports of rain totals between 6 and 9 inches!

A few additional showers and storms are possible overnight, but severe weather is not expected. Look for lows in the mid 70s overnight.

The higher chance of showers and storms will happen to the south of I-20 on Saturday. Expect a mostly cloudy sky, with a high in the middle 80s. Rain chances are finally out of here on Sunday. We’ll notice more sunshine than clouds on Sunday, with lower humidity. Afternoon highs will reach the middle 80s. Humidity will remain rather low for Monday through Wednesday of next week, with no risk of rain. Overnight lows will dip into the lower 60s!
