4pm Friday: Severe Risk Over… Radar Update #alwx @wvua23

At 4pm Friday, a broken line of heavy rain and thunder continues to push east across Alabama. The leading edge of the heavy rain is lined up from Centre in Cherokee County to Talladega to Clanton to Marion to Linden. Expect some gusty winds and really heavy rain for 20 to 40 minutes along the line itself, followed by 1 to 2 hours of light rain and sprinkles. Fortunately, the risk of severe weather is over for this event. There is no longer a tornado risk or damaging risk along the line based on the current stage of the atmosphere and radar trends.
