Dry Days for Now… Rain Next Week… Thursday Forecast Update – 4:25pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Thursday afternoon! Our local weather has turned out very nice again today, with most areas starting off in the 50s! Temperatures as of 4pm are generally in the low 80s. With dewpoints in the 50s across central Alabama, the humidity is really low! Clear skies, calm wind and dry air will allow a fast drop in temperatures this evening. Look for temperatures to start off Friday morning in the upper 50s to near 60.

Friday through Sunday will feature plenty of sunshine, with dry conditions. Highs will warm into the upper 80s on Friday, with some spots reaching 90 on Saturday and Sunday. Humidity levels will gradually increase by the weekend, especially by Sunday evening.

As moisture really deepens across the area on Monday and Tuesday, expect a good chance of scattered afternoon and evening storms. Highs will drop back into the upper 80s Monday through Thursday. While I do not expect an all day rain early to mid portions of next week, most areas will get a passing downpour or two during the afternoon and evening.
