Hot Days Ahead… Saturday Eve Forecast Update – 8:50pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day -SHELTON STATE Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Saturday evening! Drier air is taking over the area this evening and tonight. I expect a clear sky overnight, with lows dropping into the middle to upper 50s. Mother’s Day will feature a sunny sky and a mild afternoon. Expect highs in the lower to middle 80s on Sunday, but humidity will remain low.

Next week, an upper air ridge will take over and park overhead. Look for highs to reach the low 90s each afternoon Monday through next weekend, with no risk of rain. The pattern is looking much drier for atleast the next 7 days, as upper level ridging over the southeast deflects any rain-makers well to our northwest. Dewpoints will quickly rise early next week, forcing the humidity to become an issue. Heat index will top the mid 90s for the middle and end of next week…
