Hot Days Ahead… Rain on Friday… Monday Forecast Update – 5pm #alwx @wvua23

Good Monday afternoon! Our local weather has been nearly perfect today, with ample sunshine and mild temperatures. With low dewpoints, there are no issues with high humidity today. Expect a fast drop in temperatures tonight, with lows in the middle 50s.

A surface high will remain overhead through Wednesday, which means we’ll enjoy sunny days and clear nights. I do expect daytime highs to get rather hot on Tuesday and Wednesday, with upper 80s likely. Some spots could touch 90s on Wednesday.

A south flow develops on Thursday, and clouds rapidly increase. There could be a stray shower late in the day. A surface low will move right over our area on Friday, with a soaking rain and some thunder expected. Severe weather is unlikely on Friday, but you will need to keep the umbrella handy during the day. Nice weather returns for the weekend!
