Nice Weekend Ahead. Friday Forecast Update, 5:40pm.

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Friday evening! The weather today was very chilly for the start of May. In fact, many areas set record minimum highs across the state. Along with the cooler weather, a mass of light showers has continued to push east through Alabama. That should move out of the state by 10 p.m. tonight. Some clouds will linger behind the rain for tonight, but they will be gone by the morning.

The weekend looks very nice with highs remaining in the 70’s both days, along with lots of sunshine. For those heading out to Talladega for the races on Saturday and Sunday, no worries should come concerning the weather. Saturday night there is a small chance for a few isolated showers ahead of a surface boundary, but rain will be very minuscule. Any that does fall will happen north of I-20.

As we head into next work week, the weather will still remain dry…or at least starting off. Sunny weather and dry air will lead to our highs returning back to the mid 80’s finally by Tuesday and Wednesday. After Wednesday, temperatures hit a bit of a wall and will no longer rise since we will start to see a system arriving from our west that will bring a few isolated showers for Thursday and what appears to be a nice rain event by Friday with showers and maybe a few storms. There is still some timing uncertainty with this rain event because of how far out it is, but the good news is that it should not bring anything severe.
