7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Wednesday afternoon! Clouds are rapidly increasing this afternoon, as a large area of rain and thunder approach from the southwest. As of 4:30pm, rain was still mainly west of Alabama with a few light showers moving into southwest Alabama. The more widespread rain will arrive this evening and tonight, as a storm system west of Alabama fast approaches. Expect rain at times for much of the night tonight, with rain amounts nearing 1″ for areas south of I-20, with lesser amounts to the north. Areas north of I-20 may get up to 1/2 an inch at best. Conditions will be windy tonight, with a south wind of 20 to 30mph.

Expect showers at times on Thursday, as the cold front moves across the area. Temperatures will remain in the 60s during the morning, then fall into the 50s during the afternoon, as a chilly airmass takes over. Expect a wind to become west at 15 to 25mph.

Showers will remain possible, but less likely on Friday, as the upper level low moves over the state. Look for a cloudy and chilly Friday, with highs struggling to reach the low 60s. Some areas north of I-20 will remain in the 50s all day!

Skies will become sunny on Saturday, with a chilly morning temperature in the middle 40s. Highs will reach the low 70s Saturday afternoon. We’ll reach 80 by Sunday afternoon under a sunny sky. Our local weather will remain quiet through atleast Tuesday of next week.
