Nice for Now… Rain Wed Night/Early Thursday… Monday Forecast Update – 4:30pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Monday afternoon!  A tight pressure gradient across the area has led to a breezy day, with winds gusting to 25mph for most of our Monday. Winds will go calm this evening, and temperatures will quickly drop into the 50s. Look for a fairly cool start to our Tuesday, with a morning low of 51 degrees. With a surface high nearby on Tuesday, we can expect lots of sunshine again.

A southeast to south wind will develop on Wednesday, brining moisture back into the area. We’ll remain dry during the day, but a cluster of rain and storms will move into the area Wednesday night and move out early on Thursday. At this point, severe weather appears unlikely. Look for a good soaking, especially in areas south of Hamilton, Cullman and Gadsden. Additional showers are possible Thursday afternoon, but the heavier rain will be during the pre-dawn hours.

Expect cooler temperatures on Thursday and especially on Friday. Highs will remain in the upper 60s on Friday, with a breezy northwest wind. Clouds will gradually clear out on Friday, with sunshine back over the weekend. We’ll quickly warm back into the 80s on Sunday and Monday.
