1:30pm Sunday Radar Update… Severe Storms Moving East #alwx @wvua23

daaaaaaa

At 1:30pm, all tornado warnings have expired in our area. We’re watching a line of severe storms progress eastward across the area, with the risk of damaging winds and very heavy rain lined up from Double Springs to Jasper to Vance to Greensboro to Linden. Storms will push east and impact the I-65 corridor between 2pm and 3pm with the risk of damaging winds and isolated tornadoes.

There is lots of rain to the west of this line, so expect a soaking for the next few hours across west and central Alabama. Models hint at another round developing over our area this evening and into tonight, with more rain and the potential for strong to severe storms. We’ll have to see how this round works over the atmosphere this afternoon. Stay alert this afternoon and into tonight across our area…
