Radar Update, 7pm, 4/22/17 #wxal @wvua23

We are continuing to monitor conditions across central Alabama. Storms across the area are continuing to weaken, even the one storm we had in Cullman County that had some broad rotation that sparked a tornado warning. North Alabama was the only location that had some of the better conditions to spark severe weather. The rest of central Alabama just hasn’t had conditions favorable for severe weather; instead we’ve only seen storms with decent amounts of lightning and heavy down-pours. Conditions are continuing to deteriorate for severe weather as we head into the early evening hours. Over the next several hours we will start to see the current severe thunderstorm watch be trimmed away. As of now, we don’t expect the watch to be extended any farther east. Just plan on a rainy evening, with a few rumbles of thunder from this point on.
