Cooler Sunday. Saturday Evening Forecast Update, 8:15pm.

7 Day -SHELTON STATE Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Saturday evening! Storms and showers have tracked across central Alabama today and they will continue to do so for the remaining evening hours. Rain will come mostly end tonight, but a new line of showers and storms will develop in east Alabama early tomorrow morning. Tomorrow afternoon, a few isolated showers are possible across central Alabama, but they will be very isolated. Skies will be partly, to mostly cloudy depending on how far east you are and where storms redevelop in the morning. Since the cold front will have passed by midday tomorrow, temperature will be much cooler in the upper 60’s.

Monday will start the work week off temperatures a little bit warmer; in fact, they should be right around the average. Along with the pleasant temps, skies will be clear. Tuesday we will see things warming back up into the low to mid 80’s, and we only go up from there. By the end of the work week, highs will be approaching the 90’s for some areas.

Next weekend holds a very low chance for some rain. A front will be digging south but likely won’t have the “steam” to bring in any real moisture for widespread showers. Instead, expect an isolated shower event with areas north of I-22 and Birmingham having the greatest chance.
