Good Thursday afternoon! Our local weather has turned out hot this afternoon, with most areas reaching the middle 80s. A few spots have even approached 90 this afternoon. Expect a partly cloudy to mostly clear sky overnight, with a low in the lower 60s.
Upper level ridging will keep our weather mostly sunny and quiet through Easter Sunday. A weak surface front will approach from the northwest Sunday night and on Monday. A stray afternoon shower is possible Sunday afternoon, but most of you will not get rain. Rain chances will increase to 30% on Monday, especially for north Alabama, as the front nears the area. The front will washout and we’ll be left with a humid, summer-like airmass. Highs will remain in the low to mid 80s, with a small chance of an isolated shower or storm each afternoon through mid to late week.
There is some evidence of another weak surface front approaching from the northwest late in the week, and that may increase rain chances just a tad…
