Very Warm Days Ahead… Monday Forecast Update – 10pm #alwx @wvua23

Good Monday evening! Today was a beautiful spring day, with temperatures reaching the upper 70s under a sunny sky. A weak surface cold front is approaching Alabama from the northwest, but widespread rain is not expected in central Alabama as the front approaches.

Expect skies to become partly sunny, with a small chance of isolated showers on Tuesday. The better risk of a passing shower will be over northwest Alabama Tuesday afternoon and evening. A few isolated showers will remain possible on Wednesday, as the front stalls to our north. The risk of any one spot getting a shower on Wednesday is at 30%, which is a fairly low chance. Highs will reach the low 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Ridging builds into the area on Thursday through Easter weekend, meaning conditions will get very warm. Highs will reach the middle 80s each afternoon Thursday through Sunday, with a good supply of sunshine. Lows at night will remain very comfortable, with upper 50s each night. There are no signs of severe weather for the next 7 days.
