Showers Continue… Forecast update 7pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day -SHELTON STATE Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.pngGood Saturday evening! The morning started off nice and sunny and the day heated up into the 70s before 12 o’clock. Just after 12 a heavy shower pushed through central Alabama cooling the air. The rain will continue throughout the night even after the large band moves out. Moist air from the south will stay tonight and tomorrow some scattered showers are likely.

Expect another system to move in Monday as another trough moves in. The atmosphere will be a little more unstable than today, but the chance for tornadoes is unlikely. There is a chance for some hail producing showers though.

Wednesday should be a nice day with mostly sunny skies in the 80s as a ridge passes through us keeping us dry for the most part. By Thursday another chance for strong showers appears. Cooling down a bit Friday and Saturday.
