Good Tuesday afternoon! At 3:30pm, a line of heavy rain and storms continue to push southeast across the area. Storms will end from northwest to southeast this afternoon and evening, with all areas becoming clear and dry overnight. Temperatures will be a bit cooler tonight, with a low in the middle 40s.
A surface high moves over the area on Wednesday and Thursday, allowing bright sunshine and dry conditions to return to the area. Highs will warm nicely into the lower 70s on Wednesday and middle 70s on Thursday. Lows will dip into the low 40s Wednesday night.
A cold front will fast approach Alabama on Friday, with a decent risk of showers Friday morning. Drier air will take over Friday afternoon and Friday night. Highs will approach the low 70 on Friday, but cooler air will filter in from the north on Saturday and Sunday. A wave of low pressure will track over central Alabama Saturday night, which will spread a soaking rain over the area. Most models agree that rain will move out early Sunday morning as the surface low moves to our east and a cold front moves southward across Alabama. Highs will struggle to reach the low 60s on Sunday, with lower 40s likely Sunday night.
