Cooler Air Takes Over… Storms Next Week… Wednesday Eve Forecast Update – 5:50pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - ddddsPM.png

Severe weather issues have ended across our portion of west and central Alabama, with the thin, broken line of storms racing southeast. Overall, the severe weather issues were very isolated across central and west Alabama, with a few areas of minor wind damage and a few areas of quarter size hail. There were no tornadoes reported today across our portion of west and central Alabama. Our focus will turn to cooler air arriving this evening and tonight. I expect lows to drop into the low 40s overnight, with a light north breeze. Skies will become clear tonight.

Thursday will feature plenty of sunshine, with a high in the low 60s. A light north breeze will make conditions feel a little cool on Thursday and Friday. Highs on Friday will struggle to reach the low 60s. Temperatures Thursday night will dip into the middle 30s, with a light freeze possible for some areas Friday night, especially along and north of I-20.

The weekend will be beautiful, with a mostly sunny sky on Saturday and a partly cloudy sky on Sunday. Temperatures will warm into the upper 60s on Sunday, with Sunday morning temperatures in the lower 40s. Clouds increase on Monday and Tuesday, with a good chance of rain and storms on Tuesday.
