2:50PM Wed Radar Update… Isolated Strong to Severe Storms Continue… #alwx @wvua23

Good Wednesday afternoon! At 2:50pm, a broken line of strong to isolated severe storms is approaching I-59. This broken line will impact cities around Livingston, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham and Gadsden between 3pm and 4pm, then shifting south of the I-59 corridor after 5pm. All isolated severe issues should be over for our area by 7pm.

Storms may produce isolated areas of damaging winds and quarter size hail, but widespread wind damage and widespread large hail is not expected. There is a tornado watch for areas along and north of I-20 until 6pm, but the risk of tornadoes for this afternoon and evening appear very low. We’ll watch radar trends carefully incase any storms rotate. Storms will not last long at all in your area. Maybe 30 minutes worth of rain, then it’s over.
