Showers Tonight… Warmer Air Ahead… Tuesday Forecast Update – 5pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Tuesday afternoon to you! It has turned out to be a great sleeping day across Alabama, with a large swath of light to moderate rain moving through. The rain is associated with an upper level low just west of Alabama. As the upper level low continues to move east, the main axis of rain will also spread east. A few showers will remain possible overnight, with temperatures gradually falling into the upper 50s. Some patchy fog is possible as well.

A stray shower or two will remain possible on Wednesday, but widespread rain is not expected. Look for highs to warm into the lower 70s on Wednesday.

An upper air ridge will build into Alabama on Thursday and Friday, sending temperatures into the upper 70s to low 80s both afternoons. Skies will remain partly cloudy on Thursday and Friday. Showers arrive late Friday night into very early Saturday morning. Cooler air will move in this weekend, with the risk of a frost in some areas Saturday night.
