Warmer Air Rapidly Approaching! Saturday Forecast Update 5:30 pm #alwx @wvua23
February 18, 2017 Leave a comment
After a wet start this morning, clouds have stayed across many areas in central Alabama this afternoon. This has kept temperatures in the mid to low 60s for much of the state, with the exception of a few counties like Cullman and Gadsen, who struggled to reach the high 50s.
Temperatures are beginning to drop for the evening, but the clouds will stay acting like a blanket to keep us in the high 40s for the night. By the morning a warmer air will push its way in bringing temperatures into the mid 70s for your Sunday afternoon. Clouds will begin to decrease as the day continues making Sunday a great day to spend outside! Lows will begin to move a little higher in the evenings as well, with areas in the mid to high 50s by Tuesday morning.
The chance of a scattered shower appears on Tuesday and continues throughout Friday evening, with a greater chance of stronger showers on Friday. By Saturday the system will have passed and cooler air will begin to move in.
