Good Wednesday afternoon! After a gloomy and cool start to the day, this afternoon turned out very nice. Sunny skies with highs reaching the lower 60s across central Alabama. With a clear sky in place, dry air and a surface high moving over us, expect a light freeze and frost for many areas. By Thursday afternoon, temperatures will reach into the lower 60s.
Upper 60s are likely on Friday, as the trough continues to pull always from Alabama. A weak upper air disturbance moves over Alabama on Saturday, and that will bring an increase in clouds with a few scattered showers. Highs will top out in the low to middle 60s on Saturday. Sunday will feature beautiful and very warm temperatures. Highs will reach the middle 70s on Sunday, as the disturbance moves well east of Alabama and heights come up a bit.
We’ll remain mild for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs well into the 70s.
