A good soaking rain is in store for this evening and into early tomorrow morning. Most locations will pick up a quarter of an inch of rain with some places seeing slightly more. It now looks like most of the rain will come to an end sometime Wednesday morning. West Central Alabama may be rain free by 8 AM Wednesday with areas farther to the east seeing rain taper off by mid to late morning. C0oler air will filter in behind this system and Wednesday will be the coldest day of the 7 day period with highs in the 50s.

Once we get through a very cold Wednesday night we will see the warming trend return. We will see 60s on Thursday through Saturday, with Thursday and Friday seeing plenty of sun. Saturday clouds will increase with a chance of showers as a back door cold front holds just to our northeast. Once that lifts off to the north as a warm front, warm southerly flow will dominate late in the weekend and early next week. Temperatures could be well into the 70s during the Sunday to Tuesday time frame.
