At 12:20am, the severe weather risk is ending for areas west of Jasper, Tuscaloosa, Eutaw and Demopolis. Rain and lightning will continue some for some areas for a few hours, with isolated flash flooding possible. Areas to the east of that line across the rest of central and east Alabama will deal with a limited risk of strong to severe storms through 3am. The storms are outrunning the northward progression of the warm front, so the tornado risk is very low for the next few hours. Again, by 3am, our local weather will be quiet, as storms move out of Alabama and into Georgia.
Keep in mind, we go live non-stop on TV on WVUA during tornado warnings. I will be live at the top and bottom of every hour for cut-ins on WVUA. If we get a tornado warning, I will be on air and online non-stop.
