Warm Days Continue… Wednesday Forecast Update – 4pm #alwx @wvua23

Good Wednesday afternoon! Our local weather has turned out very mild again this afternoon, with temperatures reaching well into the lower 70s over west Alabama and upper 60s to near 70 across east and north Alabama. Clouds remain fairly thick across the area, as low level moisture advects in from the Gulf. A few showers have developed on radar and are tracking northeast, but most areas will not experience rain this evening.
An upper air ridge building over the southeast will deflect the active storm track well to the north of Alabama through the weekend. Temperatures will remain warm each afternoon, with highs in the lower to middle 70s on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Clouds will mix out a bit over the weekend, with a partly cloudy sky. Highs will easily reach the lower to middle 70s on Saturday and Sunday, with lows dropping into the lower 50s at night.
Clouds increase again early next week, as dewpoints rise a bit and warm/most air advection kicks in. A few showers are possible on Monday, with a better risk of a few showers by Tuesday and Wednesday.
