Warm With Mostly Light Showers for Tuesday…Monday Evening Update 4:30p.m

Good Monday evening! It was yet another warm day across central Alabama; however, we finally got a slight change in weather with a select few accross Alabama getting some isolated showers. That rain unfortunately brought little relief temperature wise. Overnight, we will see clouds sticking with us, along with a few stray showers still remaining. Early tomorrow morning a weak trough will move into Alabama and deliver showers as it advances during the day. A few rumbles of thunder are likely with this line of precipitation. Rain totals will be very slim.
Wednesday should remain mostly dry, along with even some sun in places for the morning. As we transition from the afternoon to night time, another trough will dig into the state from the east pulling in cooler air and delivering a second batch of showers and rumbles of thunder overnight and into Thursday morning. After the rain passes, Thursday morning for most, skies will begin to clear and noticeably cooler air will arrive. By Friday, we finally return back to “normal” conditions for December with highs near the mid 50’s and lows at night in the 30’s.
Next weekend will start dry, but yet another frontal system will be developing to our west and currently looks to move into the state Saturday night, New Years Eve, bringing with it showers that will last into Sunday, New Years Day, and even Monday.
