Expect a mostly clear to partly cloudy sky tonight with temperatures gradually dropping in to the upper 30s overnight. We will start the day tomorrow with a good supply of sunshine with a mostly to partly sunny sky for the bulk of the afternoon, and afternoon highs in the middle 60s.
Slight changes are on the way though for Christmas Eve as we will introduce the chance of a few spotty showers to the forecast. This will not be a big rain maker for drought parched Alabama, and the heaviest rainfall totals remain north of central Alabama.
For Christmas Day we stay extremely mild with afternoon highs in the low to mid 70s. The good news though is that Christmas day looks like it will be dry. By the beginning of the week heading towards midweek we stay above average as far as our temperatures are concerned with highs primarily in the lower 70s to upper 60s. Rain chances are also trending higher for next week although once again it appears heaviest totals will remain north of Alabama.
