Good afternoon! We’re generally seeing a partly sunny to mostly cloudy sky for this afternoon across central Alabama. As we head in to the evening and overnight hours we expect increasing cloud cover and overnight temperatures staying relatively mild, with overnight lows in the upper 40s.
Tomorrow will be another dry afternoon across central Alabama, and we expect a little bit more in the way of sunshine as well. Afternoon highs for tomorrow afternoon top out right around 60. A similar story for Friday as well with a mostly sunny sky and a high near 61.
However, we are tracking our next disturbance for Christmas Eve which will bring scattered showers to the forecast. The better rain chances look like they will remain over north Alabama. Fortunately, we look mostly dry for Christmas day, but temperatures remain extremely mild with afternoon highs in the lower 70s.
From the beginning of next week heading towards mid week we will forecast rain chances near 30 percent with the mild weather sticking around. Expect afternoon highs for the most part in the mid to upper 60s.
