Good Monday afternoon! It’s been a chilly start to our work week, with most areas experiencing temperatures in the 30s all day. With a mostly cloudy sky and a light north breeze, conditions have felt even colder. Expect temperatures to drop into the upper 20s tonight, under a mostly cloud sky. Winds will remain light out of the north overnight. Tuesday will feature a mix of sun and clouds, with temperatures warming into the middle 50s for highs.
A surface high will move over the area on Wednesday, allowing for sunshine to return. Expect a high around 60 on Wednesday. Another cold front will approach Alabama on Thursday, but moisture appears very limited with this front. An isolated sprinkle or shower is possible on Thursday, but widespread rain is not expected. Look for highs to drop back into the upper 50s on Thursday and Friday, with lows in the lower 30s by Friday morning.
A deep southerly flow will develop on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, bringing warmer and moist air into the area. Highs will reach the low 60s on Christmas Eve, with a high near 70 on Christmas Day. While a stray shower can’t be ruled out on Sunday, a widespread rain is unlikely…
