Cold Again for Saturday…Friday Evening Update 9p.m.
December 9, 2016 Leave a comment
Good Friday evening! It was a COLD start this morning and there wasn’t too much of a warm up, which many across the state would agree. Tonight will be similar to tonight with lows dipping into the 20’s so keep the warm clothes handy. Areas north of the I-22 could even see upper teens. Clear skies tonight are what will aid in dropping temperatures so low with no cloud cover to prevent heat escape. Tomorrow will be slightly warmer than today, but sky conditions will be the same with clear skies.
Sunday will end the weekend with developing clouds during the day. Flow coming out of the southeast will bring in warmer air during the day making for warmer highs than today and Saturday. Sunday night clouds will start to take over the sky and late in the evening, going into early Monday mornings, the opportunity for a few isolated showers increases.
The beginning of next work week sees continuing shower development during the day for Monday. Increased southerly flow will continue to bring in warmer temperatures. Tuesday will see decreased rain opportunities: temperatures will remain warmer than usual, and cloud cover will remain persistent. Wednesday will be very similar to Tuesday as cold air advection starts to take place, bringing in slightly cooler weather for Wednesday. The full grunt of cold weather won’t be felt until Thursday.
Just when we thought we will be out of the rain from the beginning of next work week, another round of showers arrives during the day Friday and look to last through the day Saturday and Sunday.
