At 7:45pm, the line of rain and storms is weakening quickly as they push into a more stable environment across central Alabama and as the best upper air support lifts out to the north. The Severe t-storm watch will expire at 9pm, as the storms continue to drop in intensity. At this time, storms were lined up from Oneonta to Birmingham to Centreville to Demopolis. Expect locally heavy rain and gusty winds as the line passes across the rest of central and into east Alabama tonight. After the line passes east of you, expect scattered showers on and off through midnight.

Very gusty pressure gradient winds ahead of the main line continues to be an issue this evening, with numerous power outages not related to a thunderstorm. Winds have gusted over 40mph at times today over all of west and central Alabama.
