Mild Days… Cool Nights… Few Showers Friday Night.. Tuesday Forecast Update – 5pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Tuesday evening! Our local weather has turned out sunny after a cloudy and cool start to the day. Temperatures will drop into the middle to upper 40s overnight, so expect some chilly conditions. There could be some patchy fog in southwest Alabama, where there was a little rain this morning.

Speaking of rain, Tuscaloosa and Birmingham did no measure rain officially, so the consecutive days of no rain for those cities continue. Yes, there were sprinkles in the area, but if it’s not enough to measure, it doesn’t count for the records. There was a nice batch of moderate rain that fell over areas near and south of Eutaw, including Greensboro, Livingston, Aliceville, Demopolis and Linden.

High pressure will keep our area sunny and dry on Wednesday and Thursday. We’ll top out in the middle to upper 70s on Wednesday, with a few spots touching 80 on Thursday. Expect lows in the middle 40s Wednesday night. Clouds increase on Friday ahead of a cold front. A few showers are possible Friday night into early Saturday morning.

Much colder air will take over on Saturday and Sunday. Lows will drop into the upper 30s Saturday night and low 30s Sunday night. A widespread freeze and frost is likely Sunday night according to our latest forecast data. Highs will only top out in the 50s on Sunday and Monday.
