Crisp Weather To Tap Off the Weekend…Saturday Evening Update, 7 p.m.
November 12, 2016 Leave a comment
Good Saturday evening! Talk about fall-feels! Cooler air made a return for this weekend and that showed today with highs struggling to warm into the lower 70’s across central Alabama. Tonight will be a cool, but not cold evening. Lows should fall around the mid 40’s, but a few select areas north of I-20 could see some upper 30’s.
Tomorrow will be very close to today with lots of sun. Despite the large amount of sunshine, highs will struggle to get into the 70’s once again. Temperatures should feel closer to their true measure in the 70’s thanks to lighter winds than today. Counties on the eastern edge of Alabama will see a couples clouds in the morning since a few showers will be present in Georgia this evening, pushing in some upper level moisture.
Next work week, we will continue to see temperatures in the 70’s, starting in the lower 70’s on Monday and gradually warming throughout the week into Friday when high’s will be slightly warmer, in the mid 70’s. Tuesday we will see a couple of extra clouds in the forecast from an upper level trough of the atmosphere producing a few clouds; however, no changes will be felt here on the surface.
Next weekend, a strong front takes aim to push through central Alabama . Normally this would be viewed as an opportunity for a decent amount of rain; instead, a big worry with the front approaching is that the line will lose moisture as it moves into the state to run off of, meaning weak showers for most of Alabama. We are keeping rainchances lower for right now because of that reason and will adjust as we get closer to the date if trends shift.
