Nice Fall Days Ahead… Drought Continues… Wednesday Forecast Update – 4pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Wednesday afternoon! Our local weather feels much more like a typical early to mid November day. Clouds from time to time, with a cool north breeze has continued for much of the day. Temperatures this evening will drop fast as winds become calm and skies become clear. Expect a low in the lower 40s, with a few upper 30s north of Birmingham and Fayette tonight.

A surface high will move in on Thursday, keeping our local weather very quiet and dry. Highs will approach the low 70s on Thursday and Friday, with lows in the lower 40s Thursday morning and Friday morning. Veterans Day will feature very nice Fall conditions.

A cold front will move southward across the state Friday evening. With little moisture ahead of the front, I do not expect rain. You will notice an increasing north breeze Friday night and on Saturday, with highs in the upper 60s both Saturday and Sunday. Lows will drop into the lower 40s Saturday night. At this time, it appears unlikely that our area experiences a frost behind this front. The first half of next week is looking very nice. Highs will top out in the low 70s, with lows in the 40s.
