Mild Week In Store. Saturday Forecast Update 4:40 pm #alwx @wvua23

Another dry, mild, and pleasant afternoon across the state today. Looks like the temperature topped out at 75 here in Tuscaloosa today, but we will have to wait for the official climate report to be sure. Some extra cloud cover today helped temperatures stay a little bit lower. Drought continues to be a concern as rain looks less and less likely in the near future. I have taken all the rain chances off the board today, although it is not entirely out of the question that one or two spots sees a few raindrops later next week. Just not enough rain to register in the formal forecast, and that is not good news as the drought continues to expand and worsen across the state. Water restrictions are starting to be placed in major metropolitan cities across the state, so try and limit unnecessary water usage.
REST OF EVENING: Skies clear overnight. Cool and crisp. Calm winds. Lows in the mid to upper 40s. Don’t forget to set your clock’s back an hour. We fall back one hour tonight at 2 a.m.
TOMORROW: Cool in the morning becoming mild in the afternoon. Sunny, with a light easterly breeze in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s.
TOMORROW NIGHT: Cool, with increasing clouds. Calm winds. Overnight lows dropping to around 50.
REST OF WEEK: Expect the cooler temperatures to stick around, with highs never making it out of the 70s this week. Election day will be nice, with a few clouds and highs in the mid 70s. Cloud cover increases by mid-week but rain chances are near zero through the next seven days.
