Record Highs for Trick-or Treating?…Saturday Evening Update, 8p.m.

Good Saturday evening! The dry spell continued today with lots of sun and record breaking highs across the state again today. Tonight, lows will slide down into the 50’s across the state with clear skies locked in place.
Tomorrow, the heat continues to help wrap up the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 80’s, with a few areas further south seeing near 90°. Skies will be mostly sunny, with just a few passing clouds. Expect yet another day of record breaking highs; which is not good with such little rain over the past several weeks now.
Next work week will start off with yet still very hot, dry weather…so much for it feeling like Halloween. Monday for Halloween will sees highs very close to the 90° mark making it seem more like Summer than Fall. Other than the very warm weather, conditions look good for trick-or-treating. Tuesday will remain similar to Monday until late; a cold front will push into the state bringing “cooler” weather for the remainder of the work week. Unfortunately, no rain looks to come with this system since it will have mostly dried out by the time it arrives. Its still a little early to completely rule out a shower for parts of far northern Alabama though. After the front passes, highs will no longer be near record breaking, but it will still be slightly above average.
Next weekend looks to remain slightly above average, but not as warm as we are experiencing this weekend…maybe some rain will arrive soon.
