Storm Chances Increasing… Wednesday Forecast Update – 4pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Wednesday afternoon! At 4pm, we’re watching scattered showers and storms pop up on radar. A seabreeze boundary just south of Demopolis is moving north and will impact portions of central Alabama with showers and storms through the evening. Keep in mind, some of you will miss out on the rain today and early tonight.

An upper air trough will dig across the eastern US over the next few days, sending a weak surface front in from the north. Expect a decent chance of scattered storms on Thursday, with the best chance of getting a passing storm happening between noon and 10pm. Friday and Saturday will feature a good chance of scattered showers and storms at any time. I do not expect it to rain all day, but parts of the day could easily be wet.

A ridge gradually builds into the area early next week, limiting rain chances to 20%…

The tropics remain quiet…
