Few Storms This Week… Hot Temps… Monday Forecast Update – 4:30pm #alwx @wua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Monday afternoon! At 4:30pm, several areas of showers and storms are tracking east across the state this afternoon. Not everyone is dealing with rain and some of you may actually miss out on the rain, as that’s the nature of scattered storms. Be careful if outdoors, as storms are producing an incredible amount of lightning. Temperatures will gradually cool back into the 70s this evening, and storms will gradually diminish.

Expect the risk of a passing afternoon and evening shower or storm through the rest of the week, as hot and humid conditions will give way to the afternoon storms. While there is a chance of a passing storm each day this week, the risk of one spot getting rained on is only 30%.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there is a better chance of showers and storms as the flow aloft becomes northwesterly. There are several disturbances that are expected to pass through the area. Each one of these small disturbances will bring the risk of showers and storms. I do not expect an all weekend rain…

The tropics remain quiet…
