Nice Weekend in Store…Rain Returns Next Week…Friday Forecast Update – 5:40 pm

Sevenday_64.JPGGood evening and happy Friday!  Strong to severe storms have moved through the area, and are currently making their way across southern Alabama, still producing severe weather.  Behind this line of storms, conditions have become stable, with just some lingering showers, and even these will be moving out before midnight.  Overnight, expect skies to become partly cloudy, with winds shifting to the northwest around 6-12 mph.  Temperatures will still be on the mild side, with lows expected to be in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Mostly sunny skies and drier weather is expected for this Father’s Day weekend, as high pressure builds in across the region.  Highs will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s for Saturday, and upper 80s on Sunday.  Dew points will be lower, making it feel more comfortable outside than the past several days.  There is a very small chance for a passing shower on Saturday, but most areas will remain rain free.

The warm and dry weather conditions will continue into early next week, before another cold front begins to move into the area on Wednesday, bringing another batch of showers and storms.  Right now, not looking at any severe weather threat with this system.
