Hot Days… Some Storms… Dry Weekend… Tuesday Forecast Update – 4:30pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Tuesday afternoon! Our local weather is hot and humid this afternoon, but some areas are dealing with scattered showers and storms. Unfortunately, scattered storms means not everyone is getting the rain. If you have missed the rain so far today, there is still a good chance of a passing shower or storm this evening.

The risk of scattered storms will remain high on Wednesday as well, as a weak upper air disturbance moves across the area. A cold front will swing into the state from the north on Thursday and Friday. There is still a decent risk of scattered storms along the front, but not everyone will get the rain. The risk of storms will end by the weekend, as a push of drier air will move into the area. Highs will remain near 90 this weekend, but heat index won’t be a factor. Lows will drop into the 60s over the weekend.

The tropics are quiet for the moment…
