Summer Like Weather Through the Remaining Work Week… Tuesday Evening Update 4:30 pm.

Good Tuesday evening! Things certainly started off warm this morning and remained very muggy throughout the day. Many across central Alabama caught an isolated storm or two thanks to the ample amounts of moisture, uplift, and heating we had today. Tonight those remaining showers and storm will be coming to an end and skies will start to clear out. Tonight will once again be a mild evening with lows getting into the upper 60’s. Wednesday will be very similar to today with very warm temperatures, muggy conditions, and isolated showers and storms in the afternoon.
The remainder of this work week keeps the summer-time like pattern going with hot weather and pop-up showers and storms in the afternoons. It won’t be until this weekend that we see a change in the weather, and not the turn some may want to hear.
This weekend a cold front will be trying to make its way through central Alabama as temperatures try to remain warm, but by Sunday highs are finally back down to the modest mid-80’s. Sadly the brief cool down does come at a price: expect an increase in showers and storms for both Saturday and Sunday, especially in the afternoons as the front passes. It seems that rain just doesn’t want to get out of the forecast for the next five days.
Finally by next work week, conditions dry out and clear skies return to central Alabama; unfortunately, the cooler temperatures don’t last, and highs quickly get back into the 90’s. Highs at the beginning of next work week won’t feel as bad as they did this past week since drier air will be settled in across central Alabama.
Right now the only topic for tropics are the remnants from Bonnie bringing more rain to the Carolina’s. Other than Bonnie’s remains, the tropics are calm as of now.
