Hot End To Memorial Day Weekend…Sunday Evening Update 9:05 PM

We are gearing up for some warm temperatures to start the work week with afternoon highs up in the 90s through at least Wednesday. Your Memorial Day forecast looks great if you don’t mind the heat, expect afternoon temperatures near 90 with only the slight chance of a widely isolated shower or storm.

Get ready for some even warmer temperatures as we push towards the middle part of the week with low 90s for both Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain chances remain low at around 10 percent for both days with plenty of sunshine in the forecast.

By Thursday though we start to see an increase in rain chances and in turn a slight decrease in our temperatures. Expect highs falling in to the upper 80s for both Thursday and Friday  with a better probability of a few showers and storms with rain chances at 40 percent.

An early look at next weekend looks very nice with rain chances backing off a bit and afternoon highs remaining in the upper 80s.

Meanwhile we are still watching Tropical Depression Bonnie as the system brings heavy rainfall to parts of South Carolina. The remnants of Bonnie are expected to bring additional rainfall to parts of the east coast with no direct impact to our weather in Alabama.

Join us live on WVUA23 weekdays at 5, 6 and 10:00 P.M. and weekends at 10PM for the very latest on your news, weather and sports.
