Good Friday afternoon! After the humidity and storms yesterday, conditions are much more improved this afternoon. Temperatures have reached 80 degrees in many areas, with a light breeze at times. Expect a fast drop in temperatures tonight, with a clear sky and dry air. Lows will bottom off in the lower 50s just before sunrise Saturday morning.
A secondary cold front will push through Alabama on Saturday, and you will notice a breezy north wind developing at 10 to 15mph. Lots of sunshine can be expected on Saturday, but a few clouds will pass through on Sunday. Highs will only top out in the middle 70s on Sunday, with lows in the lower 50s Sunday morning.
Next week, a weak upper level low will dig to the west of Alabama, and several weak disturbances will move across Alabama on Tuesday through Friday, with several waves of showers and storms. Models agree that much of next week is looking unsettled, but I don’t expect it to rain all day every day. There will be good breaks between the scattered showers and storms. Highs will top out in the upper 70s to low 80s each afternoon. Severe weather is not expected.
