Good Saturday evening! It was a beautiful start to Mother’s Day weekend, with temperatures warming into the lower 80s. With a surface high in control of our local weather, expect dry and mainly sunny conditions through Sunday. Highs will reach the middle 80s on Sunday. If you have Mother’s Day plans outdoors, expect nearly perfect conditions for early May. With a lack of humidity, temperatures in the middle 80s will feel bearable…
A south flow will rapidly bring moisture and some clouds into Alabama on Monday, with no organized rain chance. As a weakening cold front slips into the area on Tuesday, we can expect a good chance of a few passing showers and storms. I do not expect a huge rain chance on Tuesday, but a few scattered storms are certainly possible. Highs will remain in the lower 80s for the first portion of next week. Rain chances will decrease on Wednesday, but isolated storms are still possible, mainly during the afternoon.
Another cold front will drop into Alabama on Thursday. We can expect another increase in showers and storms on Thursday.
