Few Showers Wednesday Eve… Then, A Dry Week Ahead… Tuesday Forecast Update – 4pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PdM.png

Good Tuesday afternoon! A surface wind out of the northwest is allowing conditions to feel a bit cooler today. Most areas are reporting temperatures this afternoon in the lower to middle 70s. Conditions will remain dry this evening and tonight, as temperatures reach the lower 60s by 10pm and lower 50s by sunrise Wednesday.

A weak cold front will slide through the state Wednesday evening. Models continue to indicate a few showers forming on the front, after 5pm Wednesday, then ending by midnight. Heavy rain is not expect with this front, as the air will be too dry.

Thursday and Friday will feature a refreshing, almost Fall like airmass, with temperatures topping out between 72 and 74. Look for lows in the lower 50s Thursday morning, with upper 40s by Friday morning!  Look for plenty of sunshine on Thursday and Friday.

Upper air ridging will build in from the west over the weekend, sending temperatures back into the lower to middle 80s. I don’t expect any risk of rain Wednesday through Sunday. Mother’s Day is looking dry and very warm…
