6:30pm Radar Check… Storms Continue to Move Through… #alwx @wvua23

WVUA 201d6.png

At 6:30pm, an MCS or cluster of strong to severe storms continue to move through the area. Expect storms to produce gusty winds and hail as they track southeast at 40mph. We’ve got several severe thunderstorm warnings out there in response to the damaging wind and hail risk. So far, we’ve had numerous reports of hail from dime size to as large as baseball size in scattered spots. Expect very heavy rain under the storms, as they generally move southeast over the next few hours. These storms will slowly weaken and fall apart at some point between 9pm and 11pm across central or east Alabama.
