Warm Weather with Rain Mid-Week…Saturday Evening Update 5:10 p.m.

Hopefully everyone got out to enjoy the amazing weather today! Temperatures climbed into the low 80’s across central Alabama while skies remained clear allowing for a beautiful day filled with sunshine. Over night temperatures will drop into the lower 50’s as skies continue to remain mostly clear. Sunday looks to be even warmer with temperatures reaching the mid 80’s as skies still remain cloud free.

Monday starts the work week off still warm with lots of sunshine before some moisture starts to return by mid week. Tuesday will have a few clouds start to develop as moisture arrives from the south. A few very isolated showers are possible.

Wednesday brings the next real opportunity for precipitation as the moisture flow from the south increases and some uplift is provided from a frontal system arriving from the west. Showers and storms will remain mostly scattered Wednesday. Thursday will be the greatest day for widespread rain with better uplift helping get conditions right for showers and storms to develop. Friday the front stalls out to the south providing some uplift for a few isolated showers.

Next weekend the stalled front continues to sit to the south providing some lift for a few showers and storms for central Alabama. Despite the showers, temperatures will still be warm in the lower 80’s.
