Warm Week Ahead…Sunday Evening Update 5:55 p.m.

Good Sunday evening! Temperatures today took quite the ride into the upper 70’s thanks to all the sunshine helping heat things up. Those warmer temperatures will back off tonight and drop down into the lower 50’s while skies continue to remain clear. Monday will start off the work week very warm with temperatures in the lower 80’s. Skies will stay clean of clouds making it very nice to get outdoors and try to enjoy a Monday.

Tuesday the warm weather continues as we begin to watch some moisture pull in from the gulf. The additional moisture will help provide some light clouds on Tuesday, but Wednesday a select few in central Alabama may catch an isolated shower or Thunderstorm. Thursday a front arrives pulling in more moisture and providing some lift to get some scattered showers and thunderstorms to really start developing. The front will be a slow tracker so it will provide another opportunity for precipitation on the day Friday. Thursday and Friday both will be slightly cooler thanks to the additional cloud cover helping keep some sunshine out, in turn preventing heating.

Later Friday afternoon skies will start clearing. That night clouds should finish pushing out and by next weekend the front finishes passing and temperatures quickly return back to the 80’s. Skies should remain clear with the warm temperatures making for a nice weekend!
