Warm Days Ahead…Saturday Evening Update 5:25 p.m.

Good Saturday evening! Things this morning started gloomy with cool, wet weather, but that quickly changed though! By lunch time rain came to an end and skies throughout the day have been trying to clear, allowing some sunshine to break in and warm things up. Later in the afternoon only a select few caught some very isolated showers in west Alabama. Tonight the clearing continues as temperatures drop into the lower 50’s. Tomorrow the temperature rise into the upper 70’s,  while a light breeze helps top things off for a nice end to the weekend weather wise.

Next work week the temperatures crank up into the lower 80’s, making for a very warm start. Clouds start to build slightly over the coming days as moisture begins to move back into central Alabama, but dry air holds fast until Wednesday. Wednesday most areas will still be dry, but a few might catch a stray shower or storm that afternoon. Thursday a front brings the right amount of moisture and lift to bring the next opportunity for rain. Thursday and Friday both hold scattered showers and thunderstorms as the front gradually passes. The effect will be more of a summer time trend where not everyone receives rain, but if they do , it will be a good down-pour.

Next weekend starts off with scattered showers and thunderstorms continuing for the first half. Sunday things will start to dry and clear out while temperatures drop back down slightly.
